Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription from my physician?

NO. In the state of New Jersey you need only to give us a call. Your therapist will reach out to your doctor after your first visit,  if needed, to communicate about any concerns, goals, and/or your plan of care.

What is your schedule for appointments?

We are schedule by appointment only, and have therapists offering a wide range of appointment times to make it as easy as possible for clients to schedule with us.

Do I need any equipment or access to a gym to book an appointment?

No. We bring all needed equipment with us including a treatment table. While access to a gym is often helpful, it is not mandatory.

Do you take insurance?

YES. At this time, we are in network Medicare B, accepting original medicare. We do not accept any other insurances for our services. This allows us to deliver the highest possible level of care to our clients. We are not restricted by insurance rules or standards that often limit the quality of care offered in the healthcare field. Upon request, clients will receive invoices that can be submitted to their insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance for out-of-network benefits if you plan on submitting paperwork to be reimbursed. We are considered out of network providers, and most clients receive 50-80% reimbursement after their out of network deductible has been met.

Other methods of payment include: Cash, Venmo, Credit Cards, and Cashier’s Check.

A third-party agency that assists clients with reimbursement can be found here.

Do I need to be "home bound" to receive your therapy?

NO. Some people think that to qualify for therapy at home you must be home bound. This is true for home-health agencies that bill Medicare A.  However,  Propel Rehabilitation & Wellness bills Medicare B which does not require home bound status.  This means that working or leaving the home will not disqualify you from our services. Think of Propel Rehab as a mobile rehab clinic that makes house-calls; it is a service based on convenience and not need.

Isn’t it better if I go to a “real” clinic?

NO, that is a personal preference. Propel Rehab brings all the equipment that is needed for your rehabilitation to your preferred location, making it just as effective as a brick-and-mortar clinic. We bring massage tables, weights, physio balls, portable bikes, balance beam, the list goes on. And, unlike a brick-and-mortar clinic you do not have to share your time with your therapist with anyone else! No interruptions, and no unnecessary exposure to sickness and germs.
